Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proper patient care techniques, provide live step-by-step instruction, and supervise student practice, drawing on your nursing background to model clinical excellence. - Assess student competency and provide feedback and remediation as needed.
- Ensure that students achieve mastery of foundational patient care skills before advancing through clinical rotations. - Coordinate with hospital nursing staff, preceptors, and unit leadership to align student rotations with program goals and navigate site-specific protocols. - Document student progress and report on clinical outcomes. - Represent Stepful on-site with our hospital and training center partner, supporting a positive
- - Facilitating hands-on learning in a simulation lab using simulation equipment and following Stepful's established curriculum - Supporting students through their clinical rotations at our hospital partner site In the simulation lab, the Nurse Educator delivers structured skills training based on Stepful's curriculum, guiding students through the hands-on competencies required for the Patient Care Associate role.

- What you’ll bring: - Active RN or LPN license in New York - Minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing - 3+ years of hands-on clinical nursing
- experience providing clinical instruction (beyond 1:1 precepting) in a hospital or clinical setting (e.g., facilitating rotations, coordinating with unit staff, managing students in a live care environment) - Strong written and oral communication skills - Current BLS certification - Available for the following: - June 1 – July 17: ~5 hours/week for onboarding, including in-person visits at our partner hospital site in Manhattan - July 18 – August 21: In-person simulation labs and clinical rotations
