Responsibilities
- RESPONSIBILITIES - Support new vessel construction through detailed 2D and 3D modeling and technical drawing production - Create and modify ship construction drawings - Work directly with naval architects, marine engineers, and electrical engineers on new vessel design implementation - Maintain strict drawing standards - Create documentation for marine regulatory compliance
Requirements
- experience in traditional vessel design and advanced autonomous technologies; driving impact in defense innovation.
- QUALIFICATIONS - Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology or similar field of study - Minimum 3 – 5 years of CAD drafting
- experience - Strong fundamentals in one or more areas of vessel design: general design, mechanical design, electrical design, structural design, and piping design - Knowledge of maritime regulatory requirements, construction tolerances, and vessel construction processes and sequences - Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software like NX, ShipConstructor, AutoCAD, and Rhino
