Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage General Plant Maintenance Capital (GPMC) projects for process safety critical equipment, including turbo compressor equipment and auxiliary systems, balance of plant equipment
  • Oversee various maintenance projects to ensure all applicable regulatory and corporate requirements are met.
  • Perform time and cost management of the programs and projects, including budgets and schedules, managing project cost change control and variance reporting of cost, scope and schedule and risk
  • Direct and manage the work of external consultants and contractors
  • Effectively collaborate with the internal stakeholders' and understand their expectations and expert contributions and how they can contribute to the program or project success
  • Optimize and align field resources to support field implementation
  • Identify data integrity improvements and cost savings through analysis of the programs
  • Support the development and implementation of TC Energy’s project management tools, standards and processes to support the implementation of regulated programs within Canada
  • Identify opportunities for value creation and efficiency improvements to reduce overall project costs Minimum

Requirements

  • In this role, we will rely on you to provide strong technical, project management, organizational, and communication skills and to develop the knowledge of our systems, processes and tools required to plan and execute the program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices
  • Proficient in PC-based computer systems and software applications with an emphasis on SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Master Plan. and Project
  • Proven ability to embrace and lead change and quickly understand new processes and related issues Preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university (Professional Engineer, P.Eng in good standing)
  • Ability to influence and exercise leadership without formal authority
