Responsibilities
- Drive technical roadmap execution and lead architectural decisions, upholding system design as a core tenet of all deliverables.

- Demonstrate initiative as a self-starter with a proactive approach to navigating ambiguity, addressing complex issues, and finding creative solutions.
Requirements
- Natera is seeking a skilled, self-motivated, and hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join a software development team in the Oncology domain within a fast-growing biotech company.
- You will play a key role in building critical web applications and services alongside full-stack and UI engineers.
- Strong technical background in modern web development, specifically using React and JavaScript/TypeScript, including
- experience with complex embedding patterns (iframes, cross-origin messaging). •
- Experience with programming in JavaScript frameworks such as NextJS.
- Solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, and databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar). •
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and providers, with AWS being preferred. •
- Experience building LLM-powered applications — such as agentic pipelines, tool-calling systems, or AI-augmented workflows — is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and track record of successful project delivery. •
- Experience in Healthcare IT or developing software in a regulated environment is a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Deep expertise in system design, building highly scalable distributed systems, and developing enterprise applications using JavaScript/TypeScript or similar modern web languages.
- Ability to thrive in a Cursor and Claude shop, effectively utilizing advanced AI tooling to augment development workflows and accelerate problem-solving.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with peers and stakeholders.

- This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of hire. Final compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
