Responsibilities
- Design Figma’s employee relations strategy in concert with the Director, People, and directly own the global execution of said strategy, such that it’s aligned with our company values, risk posture, and company growth plans
- Directly manage and develop a global team of 4 ER professionals that enhances ER capabilities across regions while balancing jurisdictional and cultural nuance with company norms
- Guide or advise on complex accommodation, leave, and/or performance matters in partnership with your team, Benefits, BEI, and Employment Legal
- Own ER data hygiene, reporting, and trend analysis, and use insights to inform leadership decisions, resourcing, and policy evolution
Requirements

- Act as a strategic thought partner to People Partners and senior leadership on employee risk, performance management, and broader organizational health, with a demonstrated ability to balance legal risk, employee experience, and business realities with recommendations and decision-making
- Experience influencing senior leaders and operating as a trusted advisor within the business Demonstrated
- experience leading complex, high-risk investigations with minimal oversight, with strong preference for
- In-depth understanding of all aspects of US employment laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts and practices, including ADA, ADEA and FMLA.
- Working knowledge of CA and NY employment laws and regulations. Knowledge of and
- experience with global employment law in countries in which we do business
- Exceptional judgment, decision-making, writing, and executive communication skills, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have: •
- Experience in high-growth, pre-IPO/IPO, or M&A environments
