Senior Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical discovery, architecture design, and PoC implementation throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.
  • Deliver high-impact demonstrations, workshops, and proposals tailored to C-level and technical stakeholders.
  • Cultivate trust and credibility with customers, identifying technical champions and positioning as a strategic advisor.
  • Lead cross-regional technical initiatives and enhance SE tools, processes, and frameworks for global scalability.
  • Mentor junior team members, foster technical excellence, and share industry best practices across the SE team.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of LaunchDarkly’s platform, integrations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Represent LaunchDarkly at industry events and customer engagements through travel as needed.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in supporting multiple verticals.
  • experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture customer-facing role. •
  • Experience in areas such as the SDLC, cloud architecture, or DevOps.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, expertise in at least one (e.g., AWS, Azure & Google Cloud).
  • Demonstrated excellence in leading & documenting a proof of concept and building technical & deal champions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated history of presenting thought leadership to the broader industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). •

  • Zone 2: Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago - $ 193,000 - $265,000 **
  • Zone 3: All other US locations - $ 182,600 - $251,020 *
