Responsibilities
- Establish the standard for ROI analysis across R&D; lead business case development for new product launches and feature investments to help prioritize the R&D roadmap based on financial returns and strategic value.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify growth levers, optimize margin drivers, and improve structural cost efficiencies.
- Oversee the development of flexible financial models to support ad-hoc analysis, scenario planning, and potential M&A opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 3 to 4 financial analysts supporting our Engagement and Channel products.

- experience in progressive financial roles
- experience completing product forecasts (revenue & COGS), pricing impacts, and knowledge of common tech industry metrics •
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and can effectively problem-solve across multiple teams
- experience working with Senior Leadership (VP+)
- Proficiency in financial planning tools (Anaplan) and comfort working with large datasets Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with API/platform monetization models and usage-based revenue structures Location
- For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings. What We Offer

- Offerings vary by location. Compensation
- The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $171,200.00-$213,900.00.
- Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $181,200.00-$226,500.00.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $201,280.00-$251,600.00.
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following
- benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
- The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.

- We're looking for a strategic, curious, and collaborative Director, R&D Finance.
- In this role, you'll serve as the finance partner for our Channel and Engagement Experiences Product teams, driving product investment prioritization and R&D portfolio optimization, while also supporting specific projects for the VP of R&D Finance.
- You'll help drive financial rigor, unlock growth opportunities, and ensure we're investing resources where they matter most.
